About Me
My name is Sayo Oni, and I'm a guitarist and singer who is very passionate about sharing my love of music with others. I'm a graduate from Elon University, class of 2023, with my BFA in Music Theatre. I also was most recently in the Broadway production of Hadestown, where I was a swing and an understudy for the role of Orpheus, covering a total of 6 roles in the production. In this production, I both sang and played guitar on a professional Broadway stage. I absolutely love music, and I'd like to help you become the musician that you dream of being!
Beginner Guitar
Intermediate Guitar
For beginners, I offer lessons that will teach the basic fundamentals of playing guitar. This will include your "Cowboy chords" and basic scales as a starting point, using popular songs that you'll love so that we can get you jamming as soon as possible!
Intermediate lessons will take a bit of a more technical spin, covering legato playing, tapping, speed picking, additional scale shapes, soloing, improvisation, musicality, and much more. For my intermediate players, I hope to expand on what you already know, and get a few new tips and tricks in your wheelhouse.
Voice Lessons
For my voice students, I like to take a student's natural voice and help them to break down their vocal technique barriers to get the clearest possible sound out of their voice. Vocal technique is all about freeing up space, easing tension, and making things as easy as possible. I want to help you find your unique voice!
Songwriting Assistance
Have a song idea in your head that you can't quite get right? I also offer songwriting help so that we can get your song to where you want it to be! I'll show you some of my favorite songwriting tips and tricks to help you express yourself through your songwriting.
